The Sossusvlei Shuttle

Destination:

The Namib Desert: this is the oldest desert on earth! The Southern part of the Namib Desert including the fascinating dunes at Sossusvlei have been declared a World Heritage Site. The bordering privately owned reserves and farms are making up the Greater Sossusvlei Landscape with a huge variety of different landscapes and great enthusiasm for conservation.

Short description of program:

Experience the overwhelming and living desert on our short tour: The Sossusvlei Shuttle. The highlight is the early morning excursion to Sossusvlei, where some of the world’s highest accessible dunes are found. A visit to the ‘Dead Vlei’ and the Sesriem Canyon are also included. The geology of the desert is fascinating and you may also enjoy a ‘sundowner’ trip to the natural marble mountains on the privately owned nature reserve the NamNau Habitat. This is the most flexible tour: You may start from Windhoek or one of the coastal towns: Walvis Bay and Swakopmund and return to either of the cities. We depart daily on request and offer a standard and a superior accommodation option.
