Day 1: (Friday or Monday) Windhoek. Join the Sossusvlei Shuttle and depart from your hotel in Windhoek at 14h00 (during Namibian wintertime – 13h00) via the scenic Spreetshoogte Pass to the upmarket Namib Naukluft Lodge. Dinner, bed and breakfast at Namib Naukluft Lodge (pages 3-5).
Day 2: Namib Naukluft Lodge. Have a breakfast snack early at the Lodge and join the excursion to the over 300 meter high dunes at Sossusvlei. The scenery in the early morning hours is spectacular. Enjoy the pastel and ever-changing colours, while your breakfast is served under one of the camelthorn trees. Visit the Sesriem Canyon before returning to the Lodge for lunch. Participate in a ‘sundowner’ drive to the marble mountains on this farm during the late afternoon. Overnight with fullboard at Namib Naukluft Lodge.
Day 3: Namib Naukluft Lodge. Breakfast and depart to Swakopmund through the Namib Desert, arrive there at approximately 13h00. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight on a bed and breakfast basis at the Swakopmund Hotel & Entertainment Centre.
Day 4 & 5: Swakopmund. Join one of the many optional tours offered (Walvis Bay, Cape Cross or a Desert Tour – not included in the tour price /please book in advance) or spend the days at leisure in this premier coastal holiday resort. Overnight on a bed and breakfast basis at the Swakopmund Hotel & Entertainment Centre.

Day 7: Desert Express. The next morning the train arrives at Okapuka Game Ranch, where you will be taken on a game drive. The Desert Express arrives at the historical Windhoek Station at app. 10h30 or 12h30. Dinner, bed and breakfast onboard the train.
