The Etosha Shuttle 2006
Windhoek – Etosha National Park – Windhoek (4 days)

Thursday: Windhoek. Depart at around 09h00 from your hotel in Windhoek and travel northwards via Okahandja and Otjiwarongo to the Etosha National Park with a lunch break in a restaurant in Otjiwarongo or Outjo on your way (lunch on your own account). Just after crossing the border into the Park, you will be able to view some game. The special attraction at night is a floodlit waterhole. Dinner, bed and breakfast at Okaukuejo or Halali Rest Camp.

Friday: Etosha National Park. A whole day of game viewing lies ahead and you can enjoy the sight of smaller and bigger animals at various waterholes or along the vast saltpan. Lunch at either Halali or Namutoni Rest Camp on your own account. Visit the historic Fort Namutoni and depart shortly before sunset to the luxurious Mokuti Lodge, situated just outside the eastern gate of the Park. Dinner, bed and breakfast at Mokuti Lodge.

Saturday: Mokuti Lodge. Enjoy the game drives at the eastern side of the Park, where the vegetation as well as the variety of game is quite different to the more central side. Dinner, bed and breakfast at Mokuti Lodge.

Sunday: Mokuti Lodge. Depart back to Windhoek after breakfast (ca 550 km) and visit Lake Otjikoto as well as the small mining town of Tsumeb en route. Arrival in Windhoek at approximately 17h00.


The Etosha Shuttle 2007
Windhoek (or Swakopmund) – Etosha National Park (4 days)
Windhoek: Wednesday & Saturday; Swakopmund: Saturday


Day 1 Wednesday / Saturday
Depart Windhoek northbound. Possible short stop at Mount Etjo where further guests may join the tour. Continue via Outjo into Etosha National Park, where we undertake the first game drive in our vehicle en-route to a Rest camp.

Day 2 Thursday / Sunday
The entire day will be spent in the park, exploring the waterholes along this enormous saltpan. Lunch stop a one of the rest camps. (lunch not included)

Day 3 Friday / Monday
Another day of explorations in this world famous National Park. Your guide will introduce you to the complex subject of managing such an enormous reserve. Lunch stop at one of the Rest camps (lunch not included). We leave the park late afternoon.
DBB - Eastern Border of Etosha - preferably Mokuti Lodge

Day 4Saturday / Tuesday
Visit Lake Otjikoto and the mine museum in Tsumeb. Opportunity to join the group en-route to Victoria Falls. Continue towards Windhoek via Otjiwarongo and Okahandja where we will visit the Herero graves and a local handicraft market. Tour ends on arrival in Windhoek late afternoon.
