Since 1993 we have been operating the tours: Sossusvlei Shuttle and Desert Dream. Both itineraries give you most possible flexibility and can be integrated into any individual travel arrangements. These two or three nights safaris are starting on a daily basis from Windhoek and Swakopmund and vice versa.
African Extravaganza is the pioneer with its Shuttle Service to its own retreats in the Greater Sossusvlei Landscape. In 1993 the tour has been developed and is running since then on a daily basis. The tour is most flexible. You may start in in Windhoek or one of the coastal cities Walvis Bay or Swakopmund and return to either of the 3 cities. An extended stay for an additional night forms the tour Desert Dream. An extension at the coastal town Swakopmund and return transfer to Windhoek forms the Desert & Coast Safari.

This Safari combines the Sossusvlei Shuttle or the Desert Dream Tour with an individual stay in the country’s premier holiday resort at the coast: Swakopmund. We have a daily departure and the tour is most flexible. The first part of the tour is guided. When you reach the coastal resort of Swakopmund, the arrangements are unguided. We can add the individual excursions as you please. The return transport from Swakopmund to Windhoek or to Walvis Bay Airport is a scheduled bus service with a pick-up at your establishment.
The short version (total of 4 nights) of our Desert & Coast Safari combines the Sossusvlei Shuttle with a 2 night stay in Swakopmund. Optional excursions can be booked individually.
The long version (total of 6 nights) of our Desert & Coast Safari combines the Desert Dream Tour with a 3 night stay in Swakopmund. Optional excursions can be booked individually.
